These are my first two poetry books.  I illustrated both of them with pen and ink drawings.

I did these poetry books with Naturalist, Ted Levin.  We traveled together to the Everglades, to deserts in New Mexico and Arizona, and to Alaska.  We saw lots of wild creatures.  I wrote lots of poems.  Ted took lots of photographs.  Two of our books won the John Burroughs award for Nature Books for Young Readers.
